Get The Facts On Knowing If You Still Have Termites

Since you treated your home and property, or you had a professional do this, how do you go about knowing if you still have termites? Since the termite piles were cleaned up, you can check periodically to ease your mind and confirm that yes indeed you have no more termites. Now, some people think that if you treat your house you are done and no more termites exist. Is this statement true or false? Well in most cases, this is true, but sometimes a more serious infestation may be harder to eliminate.

Termites have been producing havoc in homeowner’s houses for many years and have built up a resistance to many chemicals used for extermination, which results in the necessity for chemical changes periodically throughout the years. If they have resilience to the chemical, not all activity may end. This is devastating to the homeowner who has just spent thousands of dollars to rid their home of termites.

Knowing if you still have termites is crucial to people and if they do not know, they feel a little uncomfortable. The problem of re-infestation may occur. People in earlier days were known to burn there homes to the ground to get rid of the devastating termites, although this not a sound judgment call, many people will feel this way after finding out the termites are back.

Knowing if you have termites or not leaves many people feeling helpless and taken in by an insect. This is just not any insect, they are survivors and destroyers of our homes. A termite always finds a way to get to the cellulose in wood, and not even the best exterminator will deny this fact. This would be the reason we see less and less exterminators offering long term warranties with their services. They have over time learned that the termites could cause them to lose everything as well as you losing your home.

Some might say, these little destroyers are smarter than we are as human beings are, because we keep letting them live off our homes. If knowing if you still have termites is on your mind, call the exterminator and ask for a follow up check, rather than worrying about the annoying insect. They should by all means come to your aid if you feel uncomfortable. If they did the job, they should be more than happy to ease your mind and do an inspection for follow up.
